Kids and adults alike will love this Circus Animal Popcorn - sweet and salty popcorn that is chock full of yummy Circus Animal Cookies. A great popcorn treat that is so easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups Popped Popcorn
  • 4 cups White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • Circus Animal Cookies
  • Rainbow Nonpareil Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. You will need 10 cups of popcorn. We pop our popcorn on the stove (you can find our directions on How to Make Perfect Popcorn here) but you can use air-popped or microwave.
  2. After the popcorn is popped, make sure to remove all of the un-popped kernels.  You don’t want to bite down on one of those!
  3. Once you have made the popcorn, salt it liberally.  It is so nice to taste the salty popcorn with the sweet marshmallow coating.  Not quite like Kettle Corn but close.
  4. Place the White Chocolate Melting Wafers in a glass bowl for melting.
  5. Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Start at 30 seconds.  Give the chocolate a stir.  Melt in 10-second increments until the white chocolate is fully melted.
  6. Slowly pour melted white chocolate over the salted popcorn and stir until combined.
  7. Continue to fold the chocolate mixture in with the popcorn until all the popcorn is covered.
  8. Add in 2-3 tablespoons of Rainbow Nonpareils.  We found these at the grocery store and they are exactly the same kind of sprinkles that are on the Circus Animal Cookies.  So pretty!
  9. Stir until the sprinkles are mixed with the chocolate-covered popcorn.
  10. Now pour the popcorn onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper, foil, or a Silpat liner.
  11. Now break apart some Circus Animal Cookies into bite-sized pieces to add to the popcorn.
  12. Allow the Circus Animal Popcorn to cool. Break apart into pieces and serve.
