Every day is a party when you serve your family these Cotton Candy Rice Krispie Treats.  Same easy-to-make dessert that we all love, but this time infused with Cherry Vanilla Cotton Candy and plenty of sprinkles.  Make a batch and let the fun begin!

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons Butter (We use Sweet Cream Salted Butter)
  • 8 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 8 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 1 package Pink Cotton Candy (1.5 oz)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium-low heat.
  2. Add the Mini Marshmallows to the melted butter and on medium-low heat, stir the mixture until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  3. When the marshmallows are melted, take the pan off the heat.
  4. Add the Cotton Candy a third at a time, and stir until combined. Repeat the process until you have added all the cotton candy and it is fully combined with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Add the Rice Krispie Cereal to the marshmallow mixture and gently fold the Rice Krispie Cereal into the marshmallow mixture.
  6. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13" pan.  (We line the pan with a piece of parchment paper to make it easier to remove the treats from the pan when they are cooled.)
  7. Lightly press the mixture into the pan.
  8. Sprinkle the top with a few sprinkles. (Optional)
  9. Let the Rice Krispie Treats cool in the pan.
  10. Remove the treats from the pan and then cut them into squares.

Notes

Storing/Freezing Instructions
Rice Krispie Treats will last 2-3 days at room temperature in an air-tight container before they start to get stale.  You can extend that timeline a few days if you store them in the refrigerator and then take them out about 30 minutes before you eat them.  They freeze up great though and that is what we do if we want to make these ahead of time for a party or a family gathering.  They defrost very quickly and taste great once they are defrosted.  You can keep them in the freezer for up to a couple of months.
