Transform a classic Rice Krispie Treat by adding the sophisticated sweetness of white chocolate in this simple, no-bake recipe—sure to have your family and friends eagerly returning for seconds and even thirds!

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons Butter (We use Sweet Cream Salted Butter)
  • 8 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 8 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups White Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium-low heat.
  2. Add the Mini Marshmallows and 1 cup of White Chocolate Chips to the melted butter and on medium-low heat, stir the mixture until both the marshmallows and the White Chocolate Chips are completely melted.
  3. When the marshmallows and White Chocolate Chips are melted, take the pan off the heat.
  4. Add the Rice Krispie Cereal to the marshmallow mixture and gently fold the Rice Krispie Cereal into the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13" pan.  (We line the pan with a piece of parchment paper to make it easier to remove the treats from the pan when they are cooled.)
  6. Lightly press the mixture into the pan.
  7. Let the Rice Krispie Treats cool in the pan.
  8. Melt 1/2 cup White Chocolate Chips in a plastic bag in the microwave and then cut off a very small tip of the bottom of the bag. Drizzle the Melted White Chocolate on the pan of treats and allow the candy to harden.
  9. Remove the treats from the pan and then cut them into squares.

Notes

Storing/Freezing Instructions
Rice Krispie Treats will last 2-3 days at room temperature in an air-tight container before they start to get stale.  You can extend that timeline a few days if you store them in the refrigerator and then take them out about 30 minutes before you eat them.  They freeze up great though and that is what we do if we want to make these ahead of time for a party or a family gathering.  They defrost very quickly and taste great once they are defrosted.  You can keep them in the freezer for up to a couple of months.
