Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

These Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are a yummy take on a classic. Your family will love these moist chocolatey cookie bars that are covered in delicious Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter (Sweet Cream Salted, Softened)
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1 batch of our The Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and Granulated Sugar in a mixing bowl. 
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy. 
  3. Mix in the sour cream and stir until thoroughly combined. 
  4. Stir in the Baking Powder and Baking Soda. 
  5. Mix in the flour, one cup at a time.
  6. Finally, fold in the Mini Chocolate Chips.
  7. Prepare a 9x13" pan with cooking spray. Pour the cookie dough into the pan and press down flat.
  8. Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 28-30 minutes. (Or until the top is golden brown.)
  9. Allow the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars to cool and then cut them into squares.
  10. While the cookie bars are cooling, make a batch of our The Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.
  11. Frost the cookie bars with The Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.
