Instructions

1. The base for our Christmas Wreath Rice Krispie Treats is our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe which we have adjusted and perfected over the years until it is now absolutely the best Rice Krispie Treat recipe we have ever tasted.  You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here. You need to make a 3 cup batch (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal) of Rice Krispie Treat mixture.
2. Tint the Rice Krispie Treat mixture green.  Add the food coloring BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal.  We use Wilton Color Right Food Coloring.  It creates very vibrant colors without having to use a lot of food coloring.  Here is the Food Coloring Formula we used:  6 drops of yellow and 3 drops of Blue
3. Grab a handful of the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture. We measured out about 2 oz. for our trees.
4. Shape the mixture into a cone-like Christmas Tree.
5. Finally, decorate the Christmas Trees with sprinkles and Holiday M&M's.    Make sure you do this part while the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture is still warm and sticky or the M&M’s will fall off later.  If you can't get the placement exactly right, use a little bit of Green Icing to make the decorations stick to the Rice Krispie Treat tree.
6. Allow the Christmas Trees to completely cool before you store them.
