Spinach Dip

Spinach Dip

This Spinach Dip is creamy and delicious and a classic party dip for a reason. Spinach, Sour Cream, Herbs and Water Chestnuts combine in an appetizer that is always the first to go at a party.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages Chopped Frozen Spinach
  • 2 cups Sour Cream (equivalent of a 16 oz. container)
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 package Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
  • ¼ cup Water Chestnuts (chopped)
  • 3 Green Onions (chopped)
  • 1 Large Sour Dough Round

Instructions

  1. Defrost the Frozen Spinach and squeeze the water out of the spinach. 
  2. After squeezing the water out of the spinach, add the spinach to a bowl. 
  3. Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, and soup mix.
  4. Mix thoroughly and break up the the clumps of spinach.
  5. Add chopped water chestnuts and green onions to the mixture and mix again.  

Notes

  • This dip should be made a couple of hours ahead of time at least.  It is actually best when you make it the day before.  It will give it time to develop the flavors.  
  • I serve this is a sourdough bowl.  I scoop out the inside.  Break it down into small pieces and serve this with the dip.  It’s delicious.
