Ingredients
9 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Cereal
9 cups Mini Marshmallows
9 tablespoons Butter
Wilton Color Right Food Coloring System - Yellow, Blue and Red
Wilton Red Candy Melts - Bright White, Red
Instructions
You will need to make two batches of our The Ever Best Rice Krispie Treat mixture - one in Red (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal) and one in green Green (6 Tbsp. Butter/6 Cups Marshmallows/6 Cups Cereal).
Color the 3 cup batch red.
Press the Red Rice Krispie Treat mixture into a Cookie Sheet. Once the Red Rice Krispie Treat mixture has cooled, use a small heart cookie cutter to cut out 20-25 Rice Krispie Treat hearts. Stack the Red Rice Krispie Treat hearts and set them aside.
Lightly butter a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Make up your second batch of Rice Krispie Treat mixture and color it Grinch Green.
While the Green Rice Krispie Treat mixture is still warm, press some of mixture into the loaf pan to about the 1" mark.
Build a row out of the Red Rice Krispie Treat Hearts that is the exact length of the loaf pan. Press some of the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture along the top of the heart "tube". You want to fill in the space between the rounded top edges of the heart.
Place the heart tube top side down into the loaf pan. The bottom pointy part of the hearts should be pointing up.
Start filling in around the heart tube with the green Rice Krispie Treat mixture until it is completely covered and you have reached the top of the loaf pan.
Allow the Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool and then turn your Grinch Rice Krispie Cake out onto a cake plate.
