Mini Pies for the Holidays

Mini Pies for the Holidays

Mini Pies for the Holidays are a great alternative for your friends and family who can't decide which kind of pie to have for their Thanksgiving or Christmas Dessert. And they are small enough that you can eat a couple of them!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Unroll your first pie crust and cut out circles that will fit into a muffin pan.
  2. Put your circle of pie crust into your muffin pan and press into the pan.
  3. Separate an egg and keep the egg white only. Whisk briskly. Lightly brush the inside of each pie crust with the egg-white wash to help prevent "soggy bottoms" on your Mini Pies.
  4. Fill each pie crust with the pie filling.
  5. If needed, top the pies with a top piece of pie crust (another circle, lattice or use a cookie cutter in the shape of a leaf or a Christmas tree.)
  6. Bake in an oven preheated to 400 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until the edges of the pie crust are golden brown.
