Candy Cane Rice Krispie Treats are festive and colorful Rice Krispie Treats for the Holidays that are easy to make and so very delicious!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 10 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 10 tablespoons Butter (Sweet Cream, Salted)
  • Red Food Coloring

Instructions

You will need to make two batches of Rice Krispie Treat mixture - a Red and White.

Directions for each layer for the Rice Krispie  Treats

  1. Melt 5 tbsp. Butter in a medium pan.
  2. Add 5 cups of Mini Marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  3. Take the pan off the heat.
  4. Add food coloring and mix.
  5. Add 5 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal and mix until they are completely covered with the marshmallow mixture.
  6. Allow the Rice Krispie Mixture to cool slightly.
  7. Pour the Rice Krispie Mixture into a cookie sheet (covered in parchment paper or buttered.)
  8. Flatten the mixture into the cookie sheet.

To assemble the Rice Krispe Treats:

  1. Once all the layers have cooled, stack the layers of Rice Krispie Treats. Red on the bottom and then white.
  2. Cut each sheet of Rice Krispie Treats into three equal pieces.
  3. Starting with a white layer, stack the smaller pieces of Rice Krispie Treats, alternating colors.
  4. Cut a slice from the loaf you just created and then cut out four candy cane "sticks".
