Frozen Party Favor Cookies
We have done Thank You Cookies for every party that we have had for Allison. We give every guest (even the adults) a small gift bag with two frosted sugar cookies. The first time we did this was for Allison’s Sesame Street party, which was brought to you by the letter “A” and the number “2.” The Thank You Cookies were cute and everyone who came to the party loved the little gift. The next year was the Mickey Mouse party, so we did did the same thing, this time with an “A” and “3,” and because our family is all about tradition, we made “A” and “4” Thank You Cookies for Allison’s Frozen party for her 4th birthday party. It might be strange to be doing a “A” and “15” in 11 years, but I bet we do it anyway.

Instead of a using something more Frozen-themed (like a snowflake) for the cookie shapes we continued our tradition of making our Thank You Cookies shaped like an A and a 4 (to represent Allison’s name and her age.)
Here is a batch of A’s just out of the oven – so perfectly shaped and very soft and tasty. It can’t be overstated how great this Sugar Cookie Recipe is!
We made a lot of these cookies cookies and it took a couple batches of Buttercream Frosting to frost them. One batch was white to use as the base frosting for each cookie. Our dessert table had a ombre theme so we also used Americolor Sky Blue food coloring to make three different shades of blue that matched our other ombre desserts (Birthday Cake, Mini Cakes, Rice Krispie Treats) to decorate the Thank You Cookies.
Frosting the Thank You Cookies was a Two-Sister job. Laurie frosted the sugar cookies with white buttercream frosting …
and then I created the stripes and snowflake dots with the colored frosting.
There was a lot of people coming to the party so we made and decorated so many, MANY, Thank You Cookies!
Here is a plate of the “A” Thank You Cookies with our ombre frosting decorations.
And here is a plate of the “4” Thank You Cookies.
Each guest got two cookies, an A and a 4. When we were packaging them up we made sure that each package had a cookie with both a striped design and a snowflake design but with TWO different colors.
Laurie used Photoshop to create these Thank You Cookie labels which we printed on a color inkjet printer. We sized them so the printed size width was exactly the size of the top of a plastic sandwich bag. We didn’t worry about creating a high resolution image, it was a 72 dpi file with a PRINTED file size of 7.2″ x 6.5″.
We put two cookies in each plastic sandwich bag and then stapled a thank you label to the top of the sandwich bag.
The Thank You Cookies looked so pretty with the Frozen themed label.
We displayed the Thank You Cookies right by the front door and gave one to each guest as they left the party!
It’s a nice way to say thank you and people always love the sugar cookies with buttercream frosting. We really suggest that you add this ideas to the list of your birthday party traditions!
