How to Make a Creamy Spinach Party Dip

Step 1: Defrost the Frozen Spinach and squeeze all of the water out of the spinach. (This is a very important step. If you don’t remove the excess water, your dip will be watery (and not in a good way). After squeezing the water out of the spinach, add it to a bowl with the sour cream and mayonnaise and mix.
Step 2: Add the soup mix and mix thoroughly.  (I use a fork, so I can break up the clumps of spinach.)
Step 3: Add the chopped water chestnuts and green onions to the mixture and mix again.
Step 4: You are done! Easy Peasy.

Expert Tips and FAQ’s

Storage Instructions

This dip should be made a couple of hours ahead of time, at least.  It is actually best when you make it the day before.  It will give the dip time to develop all of its flavors.

How long with the Spinach Dip last?

The dip should last in the refrigerator for as long as the sour cream is good … take note of the expiration date of the sour cream before you throw away the container.

Can I use Fresh Spinach instead of frozen?

You could use Fresh, but why? You would need to buy so much, cook it down, let it cool. Too much work. Get the frozen, it just as health as fresh!

Where can I find the Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix?

The Knorr Vegetable Mix has a nice mix of herbs that is the perfect flavoring for Spinach Dip. You will find it in the dressing/spices aisle at the grocery store.
