Pumpkin Mini Cakes
Pumpkin Mini Cakes are a unique take on cupcakes with delicious pumpkin cake and luscious cinnamon buttercream frosting. A great treat for any Fall Holiday.
It wouldn’t be fall without something pumpkin. These Pumpkin Mini Cakes are the perfect fall treat. We used the same Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting that we used in our Pumpkin Cupcakes in a Jar, and it turned this pumpkin-y treat from great to fabulous.
How to Make
Step 1: For the cake part of the Pumpkin Mini Cakes we used Pillsbury’s Perfectly Pumpkin Premium Cake Mix. It turned out great, very pumpkin-y. The batter was the color of a traditional spice cake so we added orange food coloring to the batter so the cake would look more striking. We used Wilton Whoopie Pies pan to make these cute mini cakes. They are a great alternative to a traditional cupcake!
Step 2: For the frosting, we used our Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting – it is super delicious. You can find all the directions you’ll need to make it right here.
Step 3: Using a Wilton 2D decorating tip we swirled on the Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting in a rosette pattern. This is easy to do with this particular tip. Just start in the center and swirl the frosting in circles until you get to the outside of the cupcake top.
