Step 2: Mix together (with a mixer or by hand) until completely combined and soft and creamy. Set aside.
Baking Instructions
Step 4: Make the Brownie batter according to the directions on the box. Grease a 9×13″ baking dish and pour 2/3 of the brownie batter into the pan.
Step 5: Spoon the Peanut Butter filling on the top of the brownie batter.
Step 6: Pour the remaining brownie batter over the Peanut Butter filling.
Step 7: Bake in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until the edges begin to crisp and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely.
How to Make the Chocolate Ganache Frosting
Step 7: Add the Heavy Whipping Cream to a medium-sized bowl. Heat in the microwave until it is hot but not boiling. Add the Chocolate Chips to the hot cream and let them sit until they begin to melt.
Step 8: Stir until the chocolate has completely melted and the cream and the chocolate are thoroughly combined.
Step 9: Pour the warm Chocolate Ganache onto the cooled pan of Brownies.
Step 10: Spread the ganache over the top of the brownies. Allow the ganache to cool.
Serving/Storage Instructions
Step 11: When the ganache has cooled, cut the Peanut Butter Brownies into individual pieces and serve at room temperature. These brownies will stay fresh stored at room temperature in an air-tight container for 3-4 days. You can refrigerate them if you want to extend that time up to one week but we suggest you remove the brownies from the refrigerator about an hour before you are going to serve them. You can freeze these brownies for up to 3 months.
