Baking Instructions
Step 1 & 2: In a 9×13″ pan lined with Parchment Paper, bake a batch of Brownies. We used a Family Size bow of Brownie mix. Make the brownie batter according to the directions on the box and bake as you normally would.
Step 3: Once the brownies have completely cooled, spread on a layer of Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme. We used the whole 7.0 oz jar of the Marshmallow Creme.
Step 4: Now make a batch of our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe which we have adjusted and perfected over the years until it is now absolutely the best Rice Krispie Treat recipe we have ever tasted. You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here. You will need to make a 5 cup batch which is 5 tablespoons of butter, 5 cups of mini marshmallows and 5 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal.
Step 5: Allow the Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool slightly (approximately 5 minutes) and then pour the mixture into the pan. Press down the mixture over the Marshmallow Creme. Allow the Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool.
Step 6: The top layer is made with White Chocolate and Candy Melts. You will need 1 bag of White Chocolate melting wafers (we used Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers) and Red and Royal Blue Wilton Candy Melts.
Step 7: Melt the whole bag of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers in the microwave and then spread them onto the top of the Rice Krispie Treat mixture.
Step 8: Place 10-15 Royal Blue and Red Candy Melts in separate plastic baggies. Melt the wafers in the microwave and then snip off the tip of the plastic bag. While the white chocolate is still warm and melty, add some decorative candy melt mixture to the top of the dessert bar.
Step 9: Finally, sprinkle on some 4th of July Sprinkles.
Step 10: When the chocolate has set up, use the parchment paper to pull the Patriotic Brownie Rice Krispie Treats out of the pan.
Step 11: Cut the Patriotic Brownie Rice Krispie Treats into bars and they are ready to serve! This is four layers of Red White and Blue, yummy goodness! Pretty and patriotic and super delicious.
