The base for our Minnesota Vikings Rice Krispie Bites is our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe which we have adjusted and perfected over the years until it is now absolutely the best Rice Krispie Treat recipe we have ever tasted. You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here.
First, make a 3 Cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Mini Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal). Add the food coloring BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal. To create this shade of Purple I used our Wilton Color Right Food coloring in the following combination:
3 drops of Pink
3 drops of Blue
1 drop of Red
Allow the Purple Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool enough so you can handle it but that it is still malleable. To get Rice Krispie Bites that were the same sized I measured .5 oz. of the mixture on my food scale and then used by hands to roll it into a ball. If the mixture is too sticky, rub your fingers with some butter. I was able to make 18 Rice Krispie Treat Bites from this 3 cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat Mixture.
For the white Rice Krispie Treat Bites, follow the directions as listed above but do not add any food coloring into the Rice Krispie Treat mixture.
For the Gold Rice Krispie Treat Bites, follow the directions as outline above but add 5 drops of Yellow and 1 drop of Orange Food Coloring to the marshmallow mixture BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal.
Allow the Minnesota Vikings Rice Krispie Bites to cool before you store them. This is a great Game Day or Superbowl Party treat and you can make it well ahead. Rice Krispie Treats freeze up great in an air-tight container.
Minnesota Vikings Rice Krispie Treat Bites are so fun and colorful and delicious. Go Vikings!
