Oh my gosh, we love the way these Mickey Mouse Pretzel Bites turned out. The salty pretzel, the sweet candy melt and the yummy chocolate crunch from the M&M’s  … perfection! They are so cute and were so easy to make. They were the perfect extra treat for our Mickey Mouse Party but would also be a fun anytime dessert for the Mickey Mouse lover in your life.

Sorting the M&M’s

Step 1: Sort your M&M’s.  You will need two sizes of M&M’s to make these adorable Mickey Mouse Pretzel Bites – regular sized M&M’s and the M&M Mini’s.  We made Red and Brown Mickey Mouse Pretzel Bites but use any color that fits your party theme.  The assembly process will be easier if you sort them by color though.

Creating the Pretzel Bites

Step 2: We always use Pretzel Snaps to make our pretzel bites.  We like the visual contrast between the square pretzel and the round candy on top but you can definitely make these Mickey Mouse Pretzel Bites with regular miniature pretzels.   Start with a handful of pretzels on a paper plate.
Step 3:  Now add the Wilton Bright White Candy Melt.  We cut off the swirl on the top so the candy melt will lay flat on the pretzel.  Then we place the bottom side up so you have a flat, even surface for your Mickey Mouse head.  Stick the plate of pretzels in the microwave for approximately 50 seconds.  You want the candy to be soft enough so you can press the M&M’s into the candy but not so melted that the candy is running off the pretzel and it loses its’ round shape.  For us, that was 50 seconds with 9 pretzels on the plate.
Step 4: Now take a dark brown regular-sized M&M and place it towards the bottom of the softened Candy Melt as shown in the picture above.  Remember to place the “M” side down!
Step 5: Now use two dark brown “mini” M&M’s as Mickey’s ears.  That’s all there is to it.  It couldn’t be easier!

Step 6: Our Mickey Mouse Party theme was red, black, and white so we only made Red and Black Mickey Mouse Pretzel Bites but these would also be very pretty if you used the M&M colors like blue, yellow, and green.
