Our favorite homemade brownie recipe topped with our favorite buttercream frosting makes a wonderful dessert – Homemade Brownies with Chocolate Mint Frosting is sure to please.

We’re gonna tell the truth here … we don’t make homemade Brownies all that often. We think that there are plenty of boxed Brownie mixes out there that taste great. But on occassion, if we don’t have a box mix handy, this is the brownie recipe we use. Easy to make, chocolately, chewy … delicious. These Homemade Brownies with Chocolate Mint Frosting are super yummy and a great last-minute dessert idea. We hope you like them as much as we do.

Using a spoon, not an electric mixer, combine the melted butter and the sugar in a bowl and stir until they are fully combined.

Add the cocoa powder and mix.

Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.

Add the flour and the baking powder and mix.

Pour the brownie batter into a greased 8 x 8″ baking pan and bake them in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
