Your family and friends will clamor for seconds when you serve this treat at your next backyard barbecue or family get-together.
Ingredients You Will Need
How to Make the Marshmallow Mixture
Step 1: Melt the butter in a large saucepan on medium-low heat.
Step 2: Add 6 cups of Mini Marshmallows to the melted butter.
Step 3: On medium-low heat, stir the mixture until the marshmallows completely melt, and then take the pan off the heat.
Adding the Golden Grahams Cereal and Mix-In’s
Steps 4-5: Add the Golden Grahams Cereal to the marshmallow mixture and gently fold the cereal into the marshmallow mixture.
Steps 6-7: Add 1 cup of Mini Marshmallows and 1 cup of Chocolate Chips to the mixture and fold until combined. (Note: You can use Milk Chocolate or Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips- let your tastebuds be your guide!)
Assembly Instructions
Step 8: Spoon the mixture into a 9×13″ pan. (We line the pan with a piece of parchment paper to make it easier to remove the treats from the pan when they are cooled.)
Step 9: Lightly press the mixture into the pan and sprinkle a few more Mini Marshmallows and Chocolate Chips onto the top of the treats (optional.)
Step 10: Let the Marshmallow Treats cool in the pan.
Step 11: Remove the treats from the pan and then cut them into squares.
Serving/Storage Instructions
Marshmallow Treats will last 2-3 days at room temperature in an air-tight container before they start to get stale. You can extend that timeline a few days if you store them in the refrigerator and then take them out about 30 minutes before you eat them. They freeze up great though and that is what we do if we want to make these ahead of time for a party or a family gathering. They defrost very quickly and taste great once they are defrosted. You can keep them in the freezer for up to a couple of months.
