Laurie and I made Sugar Cookies Bars for Christmas. We loved the way they turned out so much we knew we wanted to try them for something else and I knew exactly what we should do – Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars!  These Frozen sugar cookie bars are a prefect treat for a Frozen Birthday party – they could not be easier to make, they look beautiful in Frozen-color blue, and most importantly, they taste great!

How to make Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars

You will need:

Cream butter and sugar for Frozen Sugar Cookie Bar dough

Cream room temperature butter and granulated sugar until completely mixed and fluffy.

Mix in eggs and vanilla in Frozen Sugar Cookie dough

Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Add dry ingredients to the Frozen Sugar Cookie bar dough

Finally, add flour and baking powder and mix until flour is completely incorporated in the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bar dough.

Place all of the Frozen Sugar Cookie bar dough onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper

Cook the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars in a cookie sheet.  You can reduce brown edges by lining the cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Turn out all of the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bar dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.

Press down Frozen Sugar Cookie dough into the cookie sheet

Press the dough out onto the cookie sheet as shown in the picture above. The dough will be sticky.  If you butter your hands during this process, the dough will be easier to handle.

Bake Frozen Sugar Cookie dough for 10-15 minutes

Bake the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars in a 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.  Do not overbake or you will have dry sugar cookie bars.  The cookies are done when a toothpick comes out clean and the edges are a VERY light golden brown.

Frozen Sugar Cookie dough ready for frosting

The cookie bars will be a little thicker than a traditional sugar cookie but will be lighter and fluffier.

Buttercream frosting for the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bar dough

Sprinkle granulated sugar on the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars

After we frosted the Frozen Sugar Cookie Bars, we added some Wilton White Sparkling Sugar Sprinkles for a little extra Frozen sparkle!
