Glitter Snow Christmas Tree Ornaments
I have made a lot of Christmas Tree Ornaments in the last few years … red glitter, silver glitter, pearl and these Glitter Snow Christmas Tree Ornaments. I would be hard pressed to pick my all-time favorite but these would definitely be in the running. The white glitter looks just like snow when reflected in the soft white Christmas Tree lights. They are super beautiful and so easy to make – what could be better?
How to make Glitter Snow Christmas Tree Ornaments
You will need:
- Clear Glass Christmas Tree Ornaments
- Diamond Dust Glitter or Epson Salts
- Mod Podge
- Craft Brush
- Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer
All you need to do to make these pretty DIY Glitter Snow Ornaments is cover the glass ornaments with Mod Podge and then sprinkle the Diamond Dust glitter on the Mod Podge.
I used Diamond Dust glitter on these ornaments but Epson Salts will give you a very similar result. After the Mod Podge has dried, spray the Glitter Snow Christmas Tree Ornaments with a little hair spray or acrylic finishing spray to keep the glitter from flaking off.
The great thing about this technique is that the white Diamond Dust doesn’t completely cover the glass ornament. It is a little bit translucent which means the lights from the Christmas tree shine through the ornament and really make the glitter look like glistening snow.
These Glitter Snow Christmas Tree Ornaments are so easy to make and so much prettier than Christmas Tree ornaments that you can buy at your average store. Give this Christmas project a try, you won’t be sorry!
