Silver Glitter Christmas Tree Ornaments
I believe that I have firmly established my love for glitter on this blog … glitter pumpkins, glitter eggs, glitter shoes and now Silver Glitter Christmas Tree Ornaments. I am currently in year three of my long-term project to get rid of all of my old, boring, store-bought Christmas tree ornaments and replace them with unique handmade versions. These Silver Glitter Christmas Tree Ornaments are some of my favorites.
How to make Silver Glitter Christmas Tree Ornaments
You will need:
- Clear Glass Christmas Tree Ornaments
- Silver Glitter
- Mod Podge
- Craft Brush
- Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer
The crafting technique for making Silver Glitter Christmas Tree Ornaments is very straightforward. First, cover the Christmas Ornament with mod podge. Next, cover the mod podge with glitter. Then, hang up the ornament until the Mod Podge has dried. That’s all there is to it!
I used silver Tinsel Glitter for this ornament. So very pretty. Once the Mod Podge is dry you should give it a light spray with some Acrylic Finishing spray (or hair spray will work too.) This will help to keep the glitter from flaking off.
For this DIY Glitter Christmas Tree Ornament, I used fine glitter. It looks very different but is still so sparkly and beautiful on the Christmas Tree.
I have made a lot of Red Glitter Ornaments too but I really am partial to the silver. They sparkle so brightly when the Christmas Tree lights hit them and look so pretty next to my DIY Pearl Christmas Ornaments.
