We combined two of our previous concoctions for this post (Flower Pretzel Bites and Flower Cupcakes with Marshmallow Petals.) We wanted something pretty to set out on our Mother’s Day table, so we took kisses, marshmallows and pretzels and made Daisy Pretzel Bites. Where we started with this dessert and where we ended were pretty far apart. We have to give credit to Nancy’s husband for setting us down this path. A path that ended with little daisy-shaped nuggets of smore-like goodness.
First, prepare the marshmallows. We cut the mini marshmallows in half, diagonally, as shown in the picture above. These marshmallow halves will be the flower petals. We used six petals for every Daisy Pretzel Bite.
We used a sharp knife to cut off the top of the Hershey Kiss so that it would lay flat on the Pretzel Snap with the bottom side up. Place the pretzels and chocolate in a 200 degree oven until the chocolate is soft to the touch. It was about 4-5 minutes for us but your time may vary.
To make the Daisy, gently press the marshmallow petals into the softened chocolate. We used six petals on every pretzel. Finally, place a single M&M in the center of the petals.
We made these ahead for Mother’s Day so as soon as they were finished we placed the Daisy Pretzel Bites in an air-tight container and stuck them in the freezer until Sunday. This is a super easy to do and they taste great – very S’more like!
We made these fun and tasty Daisy Pretzel Bites using pretzels, Hershey Kisses, Marshmallows and M&M’s. They are a perfect combination of sweet and salty.
