Churro Chips
Turn a bag of Kettle Chips into a super easy to make sweet and salty snack that tastes just like a churro. Your family will beg you to make these Churro Chips again and again.
In our family, a sweet and salty treats is one of the most popular types of treats. True Story. When we were working on this recipe, our family gobbled up the first batch of Churro Chips so quickly that we had to make a second batch to take these pictures. They are that good. Luckily, they could not be easier to make. This fun snack would be great for a potluck, a barbecue or a family movie night. We hope your family enjoys them as much as our family did!
Grad some sugar, butter, cinnamon and a bag of Sea Salt Kettle Chips and lets’s get started on this yummy sweet & salty snack!
Pour the bag of Kettle Chips onto a prepared (we used parchment paper) cookie sheet. You could use any type of Potato Chip but we found that Kettle Chips tasted most like a churro.
A teaspoon at a time, drizzle the melted butter over the Kettle Chips. You don’t want the chips to be drenched in butter, the goal is to moist them a bit so the Cinnamon Sugar has something to hold onto.
In a small bowl, mix the Granulated Sugar and the cinnamon. Add cinnamon to taste. We like a strong cinnamon taste so we added 2 teaspoons. You could start with 1 teaspoon, test it on a chip and see what you think before adding more cinnamon.
Now sprinkle the chips with the Cinnamon Sugar.
Toss the chips, get them coated with the cinnamon sugar.
Mmmmm …. Churro Chips. So easy. So delicious!
Voilla – in under five minutes you have transformed Kettle Chips into Churro Chips. Sweet, salty and delicious, our absolute favorite flavor combination.
