That is where these extremely yummy Christmas Peanut Butter Truffles come in. So yummy, creamy, crunchy, and chock full of peanut butter flavor. And don’t forget the dark chocolate and some pretty red, white and green decorations. Super easy to make this is a definite go-to holiday dessert recipe for us. We hope your family enjoys them as much as our family does!
How to Make
Step 1: Crush the Graham Cracker sheets in a plastic bag. We used a rolling pin to get rough chunks but you could use a food processor if you’d like.
Step 2: Pour the Graham Crackers into a bowl and add the peanut butter and softened butter. Stir with a spoon until completely incorporated.
Step 3: Then add the Rice Krispie Cereal and mix again.
Step 4: Finally, add the Powdered Sugar to taste. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up so it will be easier to roll into balls.
Step 5: We measured 8 ounces of the mixture on our Food Scale for each Crunch Ball and rolled them into balls and then chill them for 2 hours.
Step 6: Melt 25-30 Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers in the microwave.
Step 7: Place a Peanut Butter Ball in the melted chocolate and cover it completely.
Step 8: Place the truffles back in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate coating to set up.
How to Decorate for Christmas
Step 9: We drizzled colored candy melts on our candies for decoration. While the chocolate was drying, we melted 15-20 Wilton Red, Bright White, and Green Candy Melts in Ziploc bags. In the fourth bag, we combined Dark Green and Bright White Candy Melts to get a lighter shade of Green. Once melted, we cut the tip off the bag and drizzled the candy over the truffles. Make sure you only cut the very very tip of the bag. You only want a small hole to give yourself more control over the drizzle.
Step 10: Alternating colors, drizzle the melted candy melts over the candies. They turn out so pretty with the drizzled candy melts!
