There are thousands of versions of Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes out there and we are apparently on a quest to try each and every one.  This Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar is a keeper.  The bars are moist, chock full of chocolate chips, and the perfect delivery mechanism for our absolutely delicious Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.  And go ahead and admit it … you’ve never tasted anything that didn’t taste even better when it was topped with Cream Cheese Frosting. Step 1: To make the dough for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and Granulated Sugar in a mixing bowl.  Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until light and fluffy.  Mix in the sour cream and stir until thoroughly combined.  Stir in the Baking Powder and Baking Soda.  Mix in the flour, one cup at a time. Finally, fold in the Mini Chocolate Chips.

Baking Instructions

Step 2: Prepare a 9×13″ pan with cooking spray. Pour the cookie dough into the pan and press down flat.

Step 3: Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 28-30 minutes. (Or until the top is golden brown.)

Step 4: Allow the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars to cool and then cut them into squares.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter (Sweet Cream Salted, Softened)
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1 batch of our The Best Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Instructions
