Apples for the Teacher Gift Basket
As I said in our Crayon Candy Dish Teacher Gift post, my husband is a teacher, so we use him as our resource when we are trying to come up with present ideas for my daughter’s teachers. This year, Laurie and I have taken “an apple for the teacher” to a whole new level with this Apples for the Teacher gift basket.
How to Make an Apples for the Teacher Gift Basket
You will need:
- Apple Bushel Basket
- Mason Jar – 8 oz.
- Red Apples
- Ribbon
- Apple iTunes Gift Card
- Apple Pretzel Bites
- Mini Apple Bread Loaves
Our Apples for the Teacher gift basket idea started with these adorable Apple Bushel Baskets that we found at Michaels (you can find them here.)
We included a small Mason Jar filled with our popular Apple Pretzel Bites. Sweet, salty and delicious, these are an easy to make and super adorable treat that are always a hit. And the cute apple them is perfect for our Apples for the Teacher gift basket. Click here for all the directions you’ll need to to make Apple Pretzel Bites.
We also added one of our Apple Bread Mini Loaves. These are super delicious and make a wonderful apple-themed food gift for teachers. You can find the baking instructions for Apple Bread Mini Loaves here.
We always like our Teacher Gifts to combine the cute with the practical so this time we’ve included a Apple iTunes Gift Card along with our adorable Apple Pretzel Bites and Apple Cake. In our experience, teachers love gift cards and with these iTunes gift cards they have a lot to pick from from the myriad of music, videos, e-books and apps available in the iTunes store.
Once we had filled our Apples for the Teacher Gift Basket with our apple themed goodies we added some pretty red ribbon and a “Thanks for being such a great Teacher” thank you note. We found this public domain apple picture here and added some overlay text with our photo program. We printed it on our inkjet printer and attached it with a glue dot.
