Star Wars Lightsaber Pretzels
Happy Stars Wars Day! And May the 4th be with you! We will be celebrating with some Star Wars Lightsaber Pretzels snacks during our day long Star Wars Movie Marathon. What is Star Wars Day you might be asking? It’s the un-official National Star Wars Day celebrated on May the 4th (get it?!). How to Make Star Wars Lightsaber Pretzels
You’ll need two ingredients for these sweet and salty Star Wars themed snacks – Pretzel Rods and Candy Wafers. What color lightsabers should you make? Well … if you are on the good side of the Force you have a blue or green light saber and if you’ve gone over to the dark side, you have a red light saber.
First, I placed a handful of red candy wafers in a microwave safe bowl. This many wafers made enough melted candy for six Star Wars Lightsaber Pretzels.
I melted the candy wafers in the microwave. I heated them for 10 seconds at a time, stiring each time.
Here is what the candy looked like once it was melted.
Using a fork, I covered the bottom two-thirds of the pretzel rod with melted candy.
I placed the candy covered Lightsaber Pretzels on a wax paper coated cookie sheet to set.
This is a super simple and fun snack. They are going to be perfect for our Star Wars Day party but would also be a great treat for a Star Wars Birthday Party!
